Land's End to Exeter
Driving an electric wheelchair 126 miles
Board member Gordon Faddy has been a wheelchair user all his life suffering from cerebral palsy. This does not stop him from doing his bit to raise funds for charity. In the past Gordon has abseiled down a building, gone on a motorbike ride and parachute jumped from an aeroplane. For sheer endurance and courage, his latest venture will take some beating.
Over 4 days, Gordon drove his electric wheelchair from Lands End at the far west of our region to our offices in Exeter, a distance of some 126 miles. An amazing feat that will raise well in excess of £2000. Well done to him and to
the team of volunteers who rode with him and supported him on the journey through rain and shine.
