Residents Event

2007 Getting to know you

reception areaTavistock College was the venue for the 2007 Residents event. The day went with a real swing and finished with a bang. Not really a bang, more a pounding of percussion instruments made from waste materials. The resident drummers were orchestrated by 'Big Beat' from Plymouth.

The morning sessions focused delegates minds on producing a range of questions to be put to the Chief Executives from the three associations in the group, DCHA, PHA and Tor Homes. Teresa Butchers, Andy Moore and cooking groupHoward Toplis each took a turn in the hot seat answering a range of questions. After lunch delegates spread out into a range of workshops learning new skills and having fun. From circus skills to Bingo, from computers to cooking on a budget, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Feedback from delegates shows that a great day was had by all. The organising committee made up of residents from across the group surpassed themselves again. The attendance was the biggest so far in the history of the event.
