New chair for DCHA

Two other new members are also welcomed onto the board

The new chair of DCHA is Simon Sanger–Anderson. Simon has been a Devon & Cornwall Housing Association board member since 2005 and previously was chair of Westco Properties and DCHA’s Devon South committee. Simon is a solicitor and partner in Tozers specialising in employment law and governance.He was for many years a resident and a board member of a housing association in London.

New members

Two other new members, Peter Shipley and Steve Tucker, are also welcomed onto the board.

Peter Shipley worked for Anchor Trust for 30 years and is now semi-retired, working part-time as a housing consultant. He previously helped with our successful tender to Devon County Council for the county-wide care and repair contract, and for a year was seconded to manage our sheltered housing properties.

Peter is married with an adult family and is a volunteer on the West Somerset Railway. He says:”I am delighted to join the board at such an interesting time and to continue my involvement with the association as a voluntary member. "

Steve Tucker lives on the north Devon coast with his wife and two children and currently serves on the DCHA board and Devon North regional committee.

Having completed a degree in art history and sculpture at Saint Martins School of Art he trained as an infantry officer and completed a short service commission retiring with the rank of captain.

After leaving the army Steve studied for a masters degree in modern English and communication. Following roles at a number of international technology companies he now runs his own Devon-based business providing commercial and marketing expertise to clients in both UK and North America.
