Common housing registers
Most of the local authorities we work with now have common housing registers. This makes applying for a home a simple process. By filling in one form from the council you are eligible for all council and housing association homes in the area. We can also give you a form to apply for this.
Choice-based lettings
We worked closely with several councils on systems giving applicants a choice of where they would like to live. Many more of the local authorities in the region now participate in the scheme giving more choice to customers in where they live.
We are working closely with other local authorities keen to extend the choice based letting system into their area.

Energy Performance Certificates
From October 1st all rented properties and new homes must have an energy performance certificate which will be made available to new applicants to view. This will give the home an energy rating from A to G and provides useful information on how energy efficient the property is and estimates how much it will cost to heat and light over a year.
