Working with community partners

Delivering environmentally responsible housing services would not be possible without a strong working relationship with our community partners. Here are some of the things we are doing in partnership with others:

  • providing benefits and budgeting advice through the Devon Pound project including help with paying utility bills
  • upgrading insulation and fitting A rated condensing boilers through Energy Efficiency Funding and in partnership with Sustain. Undertaking a study looking at how we can improve the energy efficiency of homes with electric heating through investment in renewables like solar and combined heat and power
  • offering healthy living advice and workshops through our Primary Care Groups and initiatives like Healthy Options running in North Devon
  • improving recycling facilities in partnership with our local authority and County recycling teams
  • running green living fayres on estates and in community buildings with a wide range of partners covering energy and water efficiency, reuse and recycling, climate change, transport and health
  • delivering environmental training to residents and staff
  • working with contractors to improve awareness of environmental management systems, training and grants with Envirowise, Envision and our renewable energy networks and sustainable development trusts.
